Rhabdomyoma of the Larynx

Abstract
A case of benign rhabdomyoma which was found in the left laryngeal ventricle of a 43-year-old man is reported. The tumor was previously considered as oncocytoma, the diagnosis being revised after additional light- and electron-microscopic studies. Mention is added of the criteria for differentiation between the two tumors. One must aware that the rhabdomyoma is a rare tumor but the majority of cases have been observed in the tongue, pharynx and larynx.
