It is one of the problems to measure flow rate with fluctuation. Especially, in case of using flow sensors, flow measurement accuracy is largely affected by flow velocity profile based on fluctuation. This is because flow rate is calculated by using flow coefficient which is used for calculating mean flow velocity. In this paper, we visualized flow velocity profile with fluctuation in a two dimensional channel with and without cavity using PIV system. Thereby, we revealed the conditions in measuring flow rate of fluctuating flow.
