任意の座標系 (モデル座標系または対象空間座標系) に関する写真の外部標定要素と対象点の座標の近似値を自動計算する手法を開発した. 方法の基本は線形の共面条件式による相互標定の回転行列の決定、および角度要素への分解である. これによってつぎのことが可能になった. (1) めんどうな標定作業が半自動化できる. (2) 絶対基準点が無くてもカメラキャリブレーションや現場計測ができる.
