Anorectal pressures both at rest and at squeezing, rectal compliance, and rectoanal reflex can be determined by anorectal manometry. We illustrated in this paper, how to treat constipation and/or fecal incontinence due to abnormal anorectal function, detected by anorectal manometry. Techniques and indication of operant conditioning (biofeedback) were also briefly reviewed.
