Abstract
An infectious bronchitis-like virus was isolated from a flock of 7-week-old pullets which had not been vaccinated with infectious bronchitis virus (IBV). The virus, designated Clark 333, produced clinical signs in birds and lesions in chicken embryos characteristic of IBV and did not cause hemagglutination. Fluorescent antibody and cross-protection tests demonstrated this isolate's antigenic relatedness to IBV by virtue of a one-way cross with the Connecticut subtype. No cross reaction occurred with serum neutralization tests.
