Abstract

In this paper, we focused on car ownership and travel behavior of household by Tokyo Metropolitan Person Trip Survey data. The number of household car ownership is affected by the regional characteristics and number of car licentiate in a household. It is clear that there is a synergism affect of these two factors for car ownership. In the travel behavior analysis, a spouse who has children has more trips of private, which are pick-up and purchase purposes. The estimation of trip generation based on household is smaller than personal attribute-based estimation.
