Abstract

Various staining methods of decalcified and undecalcified bone sections were studied, effects of several ways of fixation and decalcification being approached. Fixation by formol proved to have an effect to distinguish osteoid from calcified bone matrix. Yoshiki's method distinguished osteoid most clearly among the staining methods of decalcified bone sections.
