This paper offers a manufacturing method of the straight bevel gears by the forging process. In our forging process we used an upper die insert manufactured by the die sinking method. We investigated the strength and the accuracy of the forged straight bevel gears, and compared these results with that of the machined straight bevel gears.Furthermore, we tested those gears for the practical power transmitting parts of a certain equipment for 2 years.Consequently, we verified the practicabilities of the forged gears as the machine parts.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
