Abstract
Five species of the sea turtles, Lepidochelys olivacea
(Olive ridley turtle), Chelonia mydas (Green
turtle) Eretemochelys tmbricata (Hawksbill turtle),
Caretta caretta (Loggerhead turtle) and Dermochelys
coriacea (Leatherback turtle) are foimd along the
coasts of India including Lakshadweep, Andaman and
Nicobar Islands.
