Abstract

The average number nu /sup 232/ of prompt neutrons emitted in the fission of Th/sup 232/ induced by 14-Mev neutrons was measured by comparison with the average number nu /sup 238/ of prompt neutrons emitted in the fission of U/ sup 238/ by 14Mev neutrons. The value obtained was 4.64 plus or minus 0.2. (tr-auth)
