Abstract

Angle and energy dependences of the differential cross section have been measured for elastic scattering of ..cap alpha.. particles by /sup 12/C and /sup 27/Al nuclei, for the reaction /sup 12/C(..cap alpha..,p)/sup 15/N, and for the reactions (..cap alpha..,p), (..cap alpha..,d), and (..cap alpha..,t) in the /sup 27/Al nucleus. For the scattering and the reaction in /sup 12/C, measurements were made in the bombarding-particle energy range 15--25 MeV. For scattering and reactions in /sup 27/Al, angular distributions were obtained for an ..cap alpha..-particle energy 25 MeV and the excitation functions were measured in the range 18--25 MeV. Calculations and a comparison with experimental data of the angular and energy dependences of the differential cross sections for the investigated reactions were carried out in the framework of the model of an l-split optical potential, which phenomenologically takes into account exchange processes associated with breakup of the target nucleus.
