Abstract
To accept the major prize of this year's National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAAs), popularly known as the Telstra Awards, artist Dickie Minyintiri was accompanied by fellow artists and relatives Milyika Carroll and Pepai Carroll. Around ninety-six-years old and wheelchairbound, Minyintiri had come a long way to receive the celebrated award; his home and artists' cooperative Ernabella Arts is situated thousands of kilometres away in northern South Australia.
