Abstract

The results of the 1982 census of Cyprus, covering the Greek Cypriot-controlled part of the island, are presented. The author notes that of the total population of 512,000, 39 percent are refugees from the Turkish-controlled part of Cyprus. The extent of urbanization in Cyprus is described. (SUMMARY IN ENG)
