Malignant Granular Cell Tumor

Abstract

Most granular cell tumors are benign and malignant ones are extremely rare, less than 100 cases were reported so far. The diagnostic criteria are suggestive by Fanburg-Smith et al., and divided granular cell neoplasms into 3 groups: benign, atypical and malignant granular cell tumors. To our knowledge, no malignant granular cell tumor in skin had been reported in Taiwan. We present a case of malignant granular cell tumor of the chest in a 35 year-old man. He was treated with a wide excision, and remains free of disease at six months.
