Abstract
Hormonal changes that occur in the body during pregnancy are examined in detail. 3 laboratory techniques which can measure such changes and diagnose a pregnancy are described. Possible hormonal problems during pregnancy are also examined. A detailed outline of the methods and materials necessary for the determination of urinary pregnanediol of estrogens in the last trimester of pregnancy and of estriol in pregnancy is presented.
