SIMPLE RULES FOR PROTECTION AGAINST RADIATION

Abstract

The biological effects of radiation are reviewed and the latest recommendations of the International Commission on Radiological Protection concerning maximum permissible dose are outlined. Sources of radiation are discussed. Rules are given for the protection of both patients and medical personnel during diagnostic and therapeutic uses of radiation. (C.H.)
