Revision of the Agrilus plasoni species group (Coleoptera: Buprestidae)

Abstract

The Agrilus plasoni species group (Buprestidae) is established and diagnosed. Six new species of Agrilus are described: A. huashanus sp. nov.; A. diaolin sp. nov.; A. somnon sp. nov.; A. pubornatus sp. nov.; A. baoloc sp. nov.; A. darjiling sp. nov. Agrilus jeanvoinei Descarpentries & Villiers is considered new junior subjective synonym of A. plasoni plasoni Obenberger. Agrilus dichrosomus Obenberger is proposed as the subspecies of A. plasoni. The lectotype of A. dichrosomus Obenberger is designated. All species are keyed and illustrated.
