Abstract
There are several types of software testing that are widely used in the current IT world. This paper explain some of these types of tests and describes the author's experiences with them. When a tester knows what type of testing is needed, it greatly improves the test results and ultimately decreases the number of defects. Test methods covered include glass box testing, black box testing, system testing, database testing, and security testing, and test team selection is also discussed.
