Abstract
Procedures of analysis of flow and heat transfer of cooling-water in engine cooling jacket of cylinder head with commercial CFD software STAR-CD are carried out in this paper. Via exactly setting up mesh, defining boundaries and numerical calculation, the simulation provides the information on flow field, distribution of heat transfer coefficient and pressure losses of engine water jacket, provides theoretical evidence for engine jacket optimization.
