Abstract

The ALP's decision to support the US-Australia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) means that there is no significant difference between the major parties on trade liberalisation on the eve of the election campaign. The amendments sought by Labor to the enabling legislation do not detract from the obligations in the text of the FTA.
