Abstract

Afield experiment on control of weeds in wheat was carried out at Regional Research Station, Karnal during rabi seasons of 1992–93 and 1993–94. Among various herbicide combinations, tank mixture of isoproturon+tribenuron 0.75+0.10 kg/ha or isoproturon+2.4-D 0.75+0.5 kg/ha minimized the weed biomass and provided more than 85% weed control. Grain yield of wheat in weed free plots in first year was closely followed by the treatment of isoproturon+tribenuron.
