Abstract

A study of meiosis in an azoospermic man with a translocation between the Y and 14 chromosomes shows complete arrest of gametogenesis after the second division (spermatocyte II stage). At pachytene, the distal segment of the Y chromosome which is translocated onto the 14, is in contact with the sex vesicle.
