Abstract

Concept of rock mechanics developed by geomechanics group in Salzburg, Austria; in-situ testing of rock masses; methods of statical analyses of stability problems related to in-situ rock and of anchored rock constructions are presented to illustrate application of fundamentals and results of rock mechanics analyses to practical design problems.
