Abstract
The study on anther culture was expounded from two aspects,the donor plant(genotypes,growth phase of microspores,growth environment of material) and culture technology(pretreatment,basic medium,plantgrowth regulator,carbon source,medium additions,culture conditions).The main issues on anther culture were analyzed in depth.The future direction of alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.) anther culture research was discussed.
