Abstract

The invention and development of the internal combustion engine has had perhaps the greatest impact of any technological advances on the pattern of urban society. The automobile has taken over the city, and it has already caused serious deterioration in the quality of urban living. The article examines possible ways to solve the problem and create a balanced transportation system.
