Abstract
Field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of vermicompost alone or in combination with fertilizer on greengram in summer 1998. Significant increase in growth characters, yield components and yield of greengram was achieved following combined use of vermicompost and fertilizer, Results showed the possibility ot saving 25 to 50 per cent fertilizer through the addition of 2.5 t ha−1 vermicompost.
