Abstract

Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, put forward the concept of meaningful Web or semantic web. One of the essential differences between digital libraries and unstructured collections such as the Web, is the focus on information quality. This paper gives over view of Semantic Web, History, Library Applications, Semantic Web Standards such as RDF, SPARQL, JSON-LD, OWL, and SKOS.
