Abstract
Amongst fifteen insecticides, screened for their residual toxicity against spiralling whitefly, Triazophos 40 EC at 0.06 per cent and dimethoate 30 EC at 0.05 per cent persisted for a longer time compared to the other insecticides by recording 75.00 per cent adult mortality at 15 days after treatment in both the cases. Monocrotophos 36 SL at 0.045 per cent and acephate 75 SP at 0.075 per cent recorded 75.00 and 70 per cent mortality of adults at 15 DAT respectively and were at par with triazophos and dimethoate though the initial mortality was less.
