Factors associated with family planning and vasectomy discussions: results from a health provider survey.

This article discusses how the choice of male sterilization through vasectomy which is far less expensive less invasive and safer than female sterilization through tubal ligation is completely underutilized in the United States. It describes a study regarding family planning and gender and the findings suggest that men are being left out of family planning discussions and there are provider-sided factors related to FP and vasectomy.
