Abstract

Significantly better growth, yield attributes, higher nutrient uptake, and grain yield of Maize were recorded by opening of furrows in every row at 30 days after sowing (DAS), as compared to other planting methods. Maize hybrid 30V92 recorded significantly higher plant growth, yield attributes, nutrient uptake and grain yield than NK 6240. The highest grain yield was recorded with the application of 125 per cent RDF. Application of 125 per cent RDF recorded better growth, nutrient uptake and grain yield (6.91 t ha−1), Sowing of hybrid 30V92 with opening of furrow in every row using 125 per cent RDF showed superiority in respect of growth, yield attributes, nutrients uptake and economic returns.
