Abstract

The ichthyofauna of Khor Al-Zubair Area, north west of the Arabian Gulf is dominated by Clupeidae (8.7%) and to a lesser extent by Dasyatidae, Carangidae, Sciaenidae and Mugilidae (5%) for each of them. The total number of species is 80, belonging to 46 families.
