Abstract

Over the last five decades, libraries have faced a great challenge to reach out to their users. Studies have been conducted through out the entire array of library services to understand the needs and assess the requirements of the users communities. However, an introspection of the methodologies used for conducting such studies and the paradigm shift from quantitative has been felt a necessity in the ever changing scenario of information services in an electronic era.
