Abstract
Nitrogen removal by a bioreactor equipped with membrane filtration was studied. Nitrogen and BOD removal rates were determined. Although the physiological characteristics of microorganisms responsible for nitrification and denitrification were quite different, the results obtained in this study demonstrated that a single-stage single-sludge activated sludge process with membrane filtration allowed both to be maintained with fairly high activity.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
