Abstract
Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP) is the most common vasculitis of childhood. It is characterized by leukocytoclastic vasculitis and IgA deposition in the small vessels in the skin, joints, gastrointestinal tract and kidney. Its incidence is estimated at 14–20/100,000 children per year. Approximately, 90% of HSP cases occur between the ages of 3 and 10 years.
