Abstract
Pyrazosulfuron ethyl at 15 g ha−1, pyrazosulfuron ethyl+molinate at 1500 g ha−1, anilofos+ethoxysulfuron at 312+12 g ha−1 and butachlor+safener at 1000 g ha−1 controlled weeds effectively and increased grain yield of rice comparable to hand weeded control. The loss in grain yield due to unchecked weed competition was 42 and 39% during 2000 and 2001, respectively.
