Abstract

The article discusses the Syrian refugees, displaced persons and asylum seekers from the Syrian Civil War, with a particular focus on the employment of Syrian refugees in Jordan. The authors suggest that Jordanian and international business enterprises should be established in industrial zones near Syrian refugee camps in Jordan. An overview of Syrian refugees' role in the labor markets of foreign countries, including the refugees' competing with Jordanians for employment and the refugees' impact job loss, is provided
