Abstract
The Sb-Be source intensity, neutron multiplication in the subcritical reactor, and the neutron flux at the sensor locations were calculated for the initial stage of startup. At this point, a high-level Sb-Be source is in the reactor, all control rods are inserted, all fuel positions are loaded, and BF/sup 3/ counters are installed in ports in the concrete shielding. Calculational uncertainties and measures to improve the neutron count rate were particularly considered. (D.C.W.)
