Abstract

Harvest-time residues of lindane (γHCH), applied on paddy crop @ 0.5 and 110 kg ai ha−1 from its 20 EC and 1.3% dust formulations at 30 and 45 d after ttansplanttng, have been found in ttaces sn bran, husk and dehusked kernel. The terminal residue was just above the MRL of 0.2 ppm in case of straw in the higher dose treatment, from both the EC and dust. Root dipping of seedlings in 0.02% emulsion of chlorpyriphos left terminal residues below the detectable limit, whereas its foliar application @ 0.5 and 1.0 kg ai ha−1 on 30 aad 45 5 dfter rransplanting left tesidues selow the MRL in the husk, bran, straw and kernal.
