Abstract

A experiment was conducted during the kharif season of 2005–2006 and 2007 at Morena to study the effect of four different fertility levels Viz. 50%, 75%, 100% and 125% RDF. On growth and yield attributes, yield and economics of pearl millet under rain fed conditions. The results revealed that 125% RDF (100:50: 25 NPK kg/ha) registered the maximum vegetative growth and yield components, grain yield (29.79 q/ha) biological yield (85.83 q/ha), net income (Rs. 21381/ha), B: C ratio (4.25) and monetary efficiency (Rs. 270.6/ha/day) over other fertilizer treatments. The application of 75%, 100% and 125% RDF recorded 17.39%, 34.84% and 56.15% increase in grain yield of pearl millet over 50% RDF respectively.
