Abstract
Pot experiment was conducted during rabi 1999 on inceptisol and vertisol to study the individual and interaction effect of P, Zn on wheat (Triticum duram) crop. Application of 20 kg P2O5 ha−1 increased significantly straw yield (36.64 per cent) and grain yield (33.54 per cent) over control. Zn and soils increased the straw and grain yield by 13.70 and 16.18 per cent and 9.27 and 54.73 per cent, respectively. Significant response were recorded upto 20 kg P and 10 kg Zn ha−1 and clay loam soil (S2). The uptake of K and Zn by wheat grain and straw significantly enhanced due to soils and P levels and uptake of K, Fe, Mn and Cu by wheat straw significantly increase due to P, Zn and soils appUcations.
