A maxillary midline supernumerary tooth is the most \ncommon type of supernumerary tooth. We present a case of a \nmesiodens, preventing eruption of a permanent central incisor. \nThe aetiology, diagnosis and the effect of these developmental \nanomalies upon the dentition are discussed.
