Abstract
Data on 1662 piglets belonging to half-breed and 3/4 lagre white Yorkshire desi crossbred pigs maintained at All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Pigs, Tirupati, India were subjected to least squares analysis to study the effect of genetic and non-genetic factors. The overall least squares m.ean ADO during 0 to 2, 2 to 4, 4 to 6, 6 to 8 and birth to 8 week were 0.150 ±0.001, 0.160 ± 0.001, 0.150 ± 0.002, 0.170± 0.002 and 0.160 ± 0.001 respectively. Pigs from smaller litters recorded significantly higher ADGs.
