Abstract

The $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ decay of $^{37}\mathrm{S}$ to levels in $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}$ was investigated using Ge(Li) detectors and sources produced by the $^{36}\mathrm{S}(n,\ensuremath{\gamma})^{37}\mathrm{S}$ reaction. In addition to $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ rays at 3103.3 and 3740.4 keV observed previously, new $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ rays at 906.3 and 4009.3 keV were seen depopulating a level whose energy from the weighted average of the two depopulating cascades is 4009.5 keV. The above results are compared with the findings of previous decay and reaction experiments.[RADIOACTIVITY $^{37}\mathrm{S}$[from $^{36}\mathrm{S}(n,\ensuremath{\gamma})$]; measured ${E}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}$, ${I}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}$, $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ coin.; deduced $log\mathrm{ft}$, $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}$ deduced levels. Natural target, Ge(Li) detector.]
