Abstract
Application of carbaryl 1.0 kg. a.i. hectare, fenthion 1.00 kg, a.i./ha. and dime-thoate 0.35 kg. a.i./ha. as spray to Muscat grape berries had left initial deposits of 38 50, 17.65 and 13.50 ppm of the insecticides respectively. The residues dissipated to nontoxic levels in 3 days for fenthion and 5 days for carbaryl and dimethoate. Hence a waiting period of 3 days for fenthion and 5 days for carbaryl and dimethoate have been recommended for the safe consumption of grape berries when they are treated at the above specified doses.
