Abstract

Studies on two cases of wound myiasis in a 50-year-old woman and a 30-year-old male patient suffering from diabetic foot revelaed that patients were unaware of 3rd instar larvae or maggots of Chrysomya bezziana, family Calliphoridae in their wounds till they started coming out in post-feeding stage. The infestation of fly eggs occurred due to neglected wound on left foot in both the cases.
