Abstract
The possible influence of different CaCl2 concentrations and soil: CaCl2 solution ratios on lime potential was studied. Representative soils consisting of black, red, alluvial and laierire groups were used. It was found that various concentrations and ratios tried did not bring about significant variation in lime potential values. Although considerable variation in lime potential values of ihe different soils was observed, the values of each soil group determined by different methods did not vary significantly. Lime potential could be found out by deducting 1.14 from pH which is an easily determinable property of a soil.
