Abstract
Sorghum as a fodder crop needs improvement in quality. Sorghum cut at 50% flowering are generally with 8% protem only. Augmentation of protein could be attempted by cultivation of forage sorghum intercropped with leguminous fodder crops. A more balanced nutritive feed can be obtained by mixing fodder sorghum and leguminous crops. Sorghum based intercropping system increases LER, nitrogen balance and monetary returns. Literatures on leguminous intercropping in fodder sorghum are reviewed in this article.
