Abstract
Current market trends report the need for improvement in reliability and performance of all flash array storage systems. In flash array storage systems, file system metrics such as chunk size, buffer size and number of IOPS have large effects in their performance and reliability. In this paper, we propose various configurations of RAID and file systems for all flash array storages and evaluate I/O performance. In four bay flash array storage systems, experimental results show that the read performance using btrfs file system and RAID-6 as well as write performance using btrfs file system and RAID-5 are better than those of other configurations.
