Abstract

The article reviews the three major issues that form constitute the Australian Psychological Society's agenda for 2008. These include reviewing the model of psychology education and training in the country, greater recognition of diversity in the field of psychology, and addressing community issues through psychology's understanding of behavior change. It also discusses the APS's 2008 federal budget submission to the Government that offers several initiatives on health and climate change aimed at promoting the value of psychology for society.
