Abstract

A preliminary survey of algae from the water body at Nathsagar reservoir (M.S.) was undertaken during 2005–2008. A large number of fresh water chlorophycean algae have been recorded. Schizomeris, Oedogonium, Zygnemopsis, Mougeotia and Spirogyra were found to be dominant genera during winter.
